Said it before and I'll say it again..... My big girl is a very efficient hunter.

Whatever she doesn't eat usually goes to Mr. Nibblez. Needless to say there wasn't enough left of this one to justify feeding the "scraps" off.

All was fine when I checked on them before bed last night. Went to feed this morning and again my big girl comes up to the front of the tank to bring me a "gift", just like a dog with a bone......

You'd think 30" of tank height would be enough to keep rays and fish together.....

No guesses?

:(

Was an 11" Characin..... They HAVE to be the tastiest family of fish to a ray.

that sucks..

I tried Flagtails once..... It's how I got a ray named "Scarlette". Most of her back is now a huge scar....

Will never own another one of them slime eating devils.

Negative on the Aro.... Was a Characin.

How big was the ray? That's gnarley.

Its crazy u keep loosing fish and my little tat is still alive iin with my big rays

Brycon?

Dorado! You heard my stories of my pink tails where my 8" marble was snatching them off of the surface

Brycon?

WINNER. 11" Dentex.

I picked up LJ's Brycon when I got the rays. This thing was big enough I didn't feel comfy keeping with the other Brycon. Thought with all that room and height I'd be OK. Not like a Brycon spends that much time in the lower water column!?!

I thought maybe it's cause I wasn't feeding enough, so have been trying to do 2X daily feedings but honestly I think this is making her more aggressive. She jumps at the side of the tank when you walk by now. Maybe this means a decent sized litter this time?

Guessing roughly 20" across. She's big enough to touch the bottom of the tank with her tail, nose at the surface if she's straight up and down.

I seriously would like to know HOW big a fish has to be in order to be considered safe from this monster.

I seriously think she does it for fun.
