Share with us what was the most expensive bichir you got and how much did you pay for it.
Picture of the bichir are highly encouraged though optional.

Lets see how addicted you are to the bichir hobby.

I paid USD $72.8 for my Palmas Palmas

Paid $95USD for my albino senegal. When I first saw her I just had to get her regardless of price. Have since picked up a Delhezi for $80USD

this can be very subjective, for instance albino 5" sen where i am from are just $10, specially since we have local breeders for sens.

Then Asorgii are rare here and especially big ones, i have heard of one WC 20" selling for $2200.

I think best indicator of addiction is the number of unique species you have, then if you want to know if your a REAL addict, the number of unique SP you have.

Well regardless of price, it is still the customer's (us) choice to buy it.
So species aside, we can base our addiction by how much we are willing to part just to keep them, even if it is just a regular senegal.

Just to give a scenario

Lets say Person A is in Country X and Person B is in Country Y.
In Country X, a Senegal cost $20. But in Country Y, $20 can get an Ansorgii.

Person A bought a Senegal and Person B brought an Ansorgii.
So does it mean that Person B is more into Bichirs than Person A?

In my book they will be equal, they both have just one species, i did not specify a premium on any particular species, Asorgii might not be beautiful to others and prefer dels over it.

But if your a collector and addict, i would expect you to have 3-5 species.

But tomorrow ill be parting with $80 for a 12" WC Congicus and $20 for a WC Lapradie.

WC PO. Bichir Bichir from Lake Turkana. $3000

Came from the original group of fish caught by the Kamihata Expedi 2008 Kenya/Ethiopian exploration.
For that price I got the single unit, plus Kamihata "Wild Turkana" hologram / signed and numbered certificate, export and import documents and the "Expedi press pack which the actual fish featured in.

So not a bad price overall. Was fun while it lasted, but was one of the first of many of my Bichirs I sold off for parts for my motorbike. (needed for a road trip I am soon to embark on).
