What was your favorite pet you had growing up? Mine was my Irish Setter Casey, at 110 pounds hecwas a giant for his breed but as gentle as could be. Here's the two of us circa 1977.

we had a pet hawk when I was a little kid
my brother was in the woods and took it from a nest. raised it for a while. it flew away one time and got caught on a telephone line (it had a string tied to it's leg) about a block away. we saw someone use a pole to get it down
now that I think back, I don't think it was legal to keep one
