What will come out of the water?

I threw a hook with a bunch of pieces of raw sausage out to the middle and bottom of our pond, it periodically in floods connects to a creek in the woods, so really any fish is possible, I'm hoping for a bowfin, bullhead, or flathead. Any other really cool predator fish native to central Indiana that I might catch? The hook will be out there for a night and day, It's a big pond, I think 15 feet deep

most likely a species of native cat, that is if it does not just steal your bait.

you put a suasage on a rapala? LOL why not just use a treble hook?

Lol I don't normally have fish caught like this, so I don't by trebles, I normally actually fish with flies. And a rapala is just double trebles, and the shiny flash of the lure could actually help attract a bowfin or catfish

You know you can just take one of the treble hooks off the rapala? They should just slip off the ring.

ya, if you really think about it it has the smell that is needed, and the shinyness, so it looks like a dead or dying fish, and smells like one too
