i have my 55g and i want to put in some firemouths, i also want some tiger barbs and i dont know if they will get eaten. (i have seen arowana with neon tetras and they werent even being bothered!)

Feed them a high quality pellet staple and you'll be fine. Firemouths are semi aggressive, so its a risk if you keep them with Tiger Barbs, but I've seen it done before.

A 55 gallon would be barely big enough for pictus cats IMO. Also Are you wanting to put these fish in WITH your firemouths????

T Barbs will do okay with FMs, the only issue I see is that the barbs will tear off any extra finnage on your FMs. IMO

Yea slow down. A pair of firemouths ok.
A school of tiger barbs if there are like 10 or more they might not nip at the firemouth.
With that the tanks is a bit full but you could get away with it.
