Im looking at a 300g glass tank 96x24x31.

Was wondering what the weight is. It will be in the basement on the cement floor. Its just getting it down there haha!

You think 2 strong guys can lift it?

The aquarium dry, if glass, would weigh approx 466 lbs. Total with just water would be approx. 3040 lbs.

im sure you can find some more helpers lol. just make sure you can get it down there with those dimensions (ie through the doors etc, and hallways etc). you laugh, but i know people who have been stuck when their tank comes lol

2 feet should fit through the door way not a problem.

When you open the door to my house you can go right downstairs then right out to living area then straigh into my room.

Might be a little hastle getting it through my door in my room.

Will i be able to stand the tank upright? Or is this a big no no

2 guys wont cut it.
Myself and another large guy couldnt move my 265 into the house
Get 4 people.

 no chance of 2 guys lifting it let alone moving it down stairs etc.

I would say two guys each end and one guy either side. Its not so much the weight its how awkward it is too.

For all big tanks, I attach a piece of cardboard on the bottom to help it slide across the carpet.
