Greetings, I have a 4in Alligator gar, 6in Silver Aro, 5in Black Ghost Knife, 6in Clown knife, and three 3in clownloaches. i under stand that the loaches would possible become food. I'm wondering what type of wolf fish would work with my current tank....Thanks

Aimara, Lacardae, black wolf, mala, austr, intermedius....the problem remains that down the line (years) the size of the gar will be an issue and ur clown loaches maybe a snack once one any of ur fish get big.

Excuse men except for the black ghost knife. It won't snack on ur loaches.

Space available and future? Pond?

As kno4te said, the problem here is the gars eventual size since only 2 wolves (lac and aimara) may be able to be housed with him as he grows to his larger sizes, a mala, black etc will get left behind and possibly snacked on. The clown loaches will definitely be snacked in eventually even if you get them big. Bgk are usually peaceful AFAIK, idk how it would hold up if anyone picked on it. The aro I see being fine, the clown knife should be fine as well.

Bgk gonna get beat up by the other fish eventually.

It'll take some time for the gar to grow to become a problem.

What are ur plans MrDuckBootz MrDuckBootz ?

With in the year i am getting a 1,000G home Aquarium. There i will put the previously named fish, plus cichlids, a tiger shovel and maybe a red tail. The tank is being built as we speak

At the time i would get the wolf fish (hopefully soon) i would have them all in a 75 for at very least like a year. would that cause any problems since they won't have a lot of space to get away if the wolf fish gets in a bad mood?

the aro and gar will need a bigger tank in less than a year.. The other fish you can get away with, wolves aren't as bad as they're made out to be, given space and you have a decent specimen. And a 1000g won't fit them for life, the cats and gar will need a bigger tank eventually. So,etching like a couple thousand gallons. Cichlids may be eaten or can cause territorial problems. The bgk has a slow growth I believe which means it'll probably end up snacked on. You're going to end up overstocked, and with not big enough of an aquarium. And you'll have problems with compatibility, if you get all these fish you're mentioning.. Think it's time to replan exactly what you're getting as far as fish go.
