Hey all,
I was wondering what inverts would work well in a river tank set up (see my post in set ups for a river tank)? Snails aren't a huge interest but more on the clams or shrimp end.

If this is for your hillstream loaches, snails are still an option as hillies do not eat snails. You could try nerite snails if you like but make sure there is enough algae to support both the hillstream loaches and nerite snails. As for shrimps, bamboo shrimps and cherry shrimps are nice.

Great, thanks again Lupin. I was contemplating bredding ghost shrimp in the space behind the background (as food for some bichirs and fish in another tank). Any wise words on that?

Scuds and isopods make a great addition to a stream tank! Any local rocky streams should have plenty of both. They are good at cleaning up uneaten fish food and other detritus, provide food for any predatory fish in the tank, and are just generally cool little critters.
