what would be a good begiener

what would be a good begiener fish. I want a fish that is colerful but is hardy and easy to take care of
 
midas maybe or fh
 
30 gal wanting colorfull fish. try the rams people sugested. or mbunas, if mbunas dont feed high protien foods thos cuz it will kill them they max at like 5 inchs give or take
 
Ram Cichlids are nice for that size tank.
A small colony of fancy guppies are cool too.

I would make the 30 a planted tank with cardinal tetras
or rainbow fish.

how many fancy guppies and how many males and femals. should there be 2 femals for every male
 
1:2 is to breed
i have seen tanks of all males
 
I'd say 3-4 females per male.

I've seen the males just going to town...

one after another, after another, boning the hell outta the females

Try to stop 'em. :hearts:
