What would be the best fish ?

Hi,

I keep fish because i suffer from anxiety. When i have a panic attack at home it gives me soomething to do. I feed my fish play with my cats. I'm a very nervous person in life.

Right now i have 2 bettas and a tank of zebra danio in my room. What do you think would be the most relaxing fish to watch ?

I was thinking of maybe getting Jewel cichlid. In my room right now i maybe have the space for a 30 gallon.

I know this is a monster fish forum. I have an empty 75 gallon but it's too big to be in my room right now.

Just wanted to add that the white noise from the hang on back filter helps me to sleep too. I'm used to hear water running and the humming of the filter

30 would be tight for even the smallest jewels, but you might get away with a solo lifalili or similar sized hemichromis. Setting up that 75 would help you out quite a bit in keeping cichlids.

You could do kribs. Will breed readily and are pretty fish that dont get huge.

I have some tetras and an Amazon puffer in a 20long...

I agree with twentyleagues. Kribs are super easy to take care of and very fun to watch. Not to mention they have some great color. Had a planted 29 with a whole bunch of them and it was one of my favorite tanks

They grow pretty slow too just me lol

How about barbs or tetras, they school toghether thats definietly soothing to watch

Mono angles too should be a good option for the 75 g and again they move toghether.
