What would be the most aggressive lower jaw polypterus

In my experience, species doesn't matter, its more of an individual thing. Though I will say wild caught bichirs tend to show more aggression.

Agree with Cohazard, most bichirs will get aggressive when reaching 15"+. I'm not sure about laps though, maybe they will be calmer. At least my laps have been my laziest bichirs and dont care about anything that moves xD

I dont know...

I have a couple endli's pushing 15" a cong pushing 15" a 17" Ansorgii and 2 16" Ornates and none of them are really aggressive...

The ornates were at first but they have calmed down.

In my experience large male lower jaw bichirs are the most aggressive compared to females of the same size.Large males tend to be more aggressive towards other smaller males while behaving less aggressively towards their female tankmates. The most aggressive in my old lower jaw monster bichir community is the 18.5 incher Pbb,followed by my 22incher Guinea lap followed by my 18 incher Polypterus sp.Koliba.All the mentioned monster bichirs are males.Their tankmates include a 20 incher female Ansorgii,18 incher female Teugelsi,16 incher tikinso Guinea endlicheri and an 18 incher female Polypterus sp.Koloton.:)

it really just depends on individual fish... i had two delhezi that would no get along together but were fine with all the other polys they were housed with. weeksii was the only poly i have owned that i expierienced cannilbalism with. she ate a rope fish and a senegal. as for polys aggresive with other fish, its a good rule that whatever will fit in a poly's mouth will eventually find its way there sooner or later.
