I met a guy the other day who runs a hatchery. Dumb guy. Great fish. Business opportunity?

The idea that people would buy sunnies for their aquariums never occurred to him. He's a fish for food guy. Live fish to people who want it. Mostly trout and salmon. But Bass and salmon as well. He has stocked ponds on the property that are pay per the catch.

Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions?

One thing you need to know is your states posession limits, the posession laws, federal transporting laws (agriculture regulations), and the laws of the state you are shipping to. Additionally, some states regulate the sale of native species. If you get a request from out of the States, you will need an export license to fill that order. Also, large fish are hard to ship and becomes very expensive. Water weighs 8.33 pounds per gallon and you will need to ship enough to keep the fish alive through the journey. Generally when you see super expensive shipping costs for online fish, that is the actual shipping costs (and packaging).
