Hey everyone. This is my first post here, and im hoping i can get spme guidance. Ok, so I have a 250gal. tank with a pair of marble line gar, JD, oscar, GT, and firemouth (T. Affinis), all full grown. Oscar 14", Gar 17" and 12", JD 8", GT 10", and Affinis 5". They all get along swimmingly, but i made the mistake of adding a blue johanni. Witin a week, my GT was missing scales and side fins, and the firemouth was nearly dead. Since removing the johanni, i have beennursing the fish back to health and would like to add a fish to my tank for about 20 or 30 dollars. Was hoping for something colorful. Anyone have any ideas?

HOW ABOUT a jaguar cichlid...i have one and they get about as big as the oscar and have the same type of temperment..i got a 10" for 20$...so can imagine the little ones are less

Gimme more ideas guys. My Lfs is kind of a rip off. I sold my blackbelt to it for25. A day later they sold it for 80
unless your goal is an overstocked tank, you have more than what I would say is adequate for a 250. Id buy some prime or extra food with $20.

Hmm, I'd go with a fire eel if you can get one at that price. I've seen one about 8" go for $25 at an overpriced store and that will probably be big enough for your other fish to ignore.
