I have a local dealer said he can get me a mint (used) Miracles 220 tank (local tank maker) or a brand new 180 setup delivered for $1000 (for both).

what would you choose?

The new 180 6x2x2

or a

Slightly Used 220 6x2x2.5

????

Oh ya and stock would be:

5 IT Dats
1 AT Dat
1 Leopard Ctenopoma
1 Tiger Oscar
1 Common Pleco
1 Silver Aro

so need help deciding...

I would say 220 also... Gives ya a little more room for the silver to swim on top..

slightly used is like totally new in my book, and 220 gives you a little more space for fish but more volume to dilute fish poop when you are lazy and dont change the water for a few more days. 220, do it! Do it!

220.. Dats what I think.

ok thanks for the input...

220 it is...

I opted for the 220g. You should too!

The 220g will give you more water volume which is a plus, but it does not give your aro extra swimming room as previously posted. 95% of the time your aro will only be using the top 12 to 14" of the tank, no matter if 24 or 30" deep.

Going beyond the tank what other stuff do you get with each, such as lighting, filtration, stand, etc?

the 220g tank, glass lids, stand, lights, a couple powerheads and stuff (not sure what what stuff is, dont really care lol) but the tank is currently running in his house...

and the 180 is tank, lids, stand and light all new.

I will be using the filters from my 150 as well.

Yeah I would choose the 220. Obviously because the extra space, but you won't be able to tell the difference in a while.
