As you can see in my signature, I already have a 220 gallon aquarium that is up and i've got it stocked where I want to now. I also have the 29 that i've used as a growout for now, but i'm going to turn it over to my daughter for her beta and whatever else she wants that will go with it.

However, on to my next question, i've got the wife to agree to another tank for our taxes here in a few weeks. I'm really leaning towards maybe two 90 gallon tanks for wet pets instead of a 100-135 for a wet pet. The only issue i have is that the 90 is going to limit the wet pets that I can get because of the size of the tanks and with the larger tank it opens up my selection of fish I can keep as wet pets.

Now, I know the next question is going to be "what are you wanting to keep?" so i'm going to go into that now for you :) I do have a 4" Veija Red Head in the 29 that I just moved out yesterday due to him beating up on anything I add to the tank new. He was happy with what is already in the tank, but anything I add and they didn't last a few days and I just got the Flagtail from a fellow MFK'er and he was starting on him, so I did the swap and moved the Long Fin Oscar to the 220 (was growing out in the 29) and moved the veija over to the 29. The oscar is doing great and the veija is happy in the tank by himself.

So, my thinking is either putting the Veija in a 90 and then put another wet pet in another 90. I've really been wanting to get another flowerhorn, been awhile since I had one. Here is a list of others that I would not mind keeping:

Midas
Red Devil
Flowerhorn
Green Terror
Honduran Red Points (getting some from MFK'er for 220, but might put in a tank of their own)
Black Belt
Black Diamond Cichlid
or anything else you might think of for a single species tank

Sorry about all the babble, just trying to get out my thoughts and get some others thoughts and it might lead me to what I feel I want to do. I do know I don't want any community tank (that is the 220) and either want a wet pet or species only tank.

Having seen enough RD wet-pets, I'm inclined to agree. Have always been an Oscar fan, but RD's will give chase and interact beyond what any Oscar will.

So, are you all agreeing with the one large wet pet tank, or two 90's with different wet pets?

I vote Flowerhorn :headbang2

A 90g is a little small for a black belt males get big i've seen them at 18'' eazy. I would personally go for a breeding pair of parachromis either loisellie or motas or a ornatum would be awesome.

Istlantum pair would be my next choice but if it had to be one you listed i'd get a midas/red devil or a nice flower horn for a wet pet

Go for two 90s for sure they are big enough for most cichlids except the real big guys like black belts, dovii or trimacs for example

I don't think think I will ever buy a tank less than 150 gallons again. It really make choices alot easier.
