i have been doing alot of thinking...thinking about selling my endli, ornate and orino and getting some motoros or hystrix...at the same time i like them all, but the tank dosen't look right without rays in it...i don't realy have another tank to put the bichirs and orino into to make room for the rays...i keep chasing my tail on this delema...i know that i will get more of a one sided reply in the ray section, but maybe thats what i want to push me into getting some rays again idk:nilly:...
 
True ray keepers only add other fish just to fill in the empty space at the top of the tank LOL! They really need to make a 2 level tank so you can have rays on the top and bottom
 
Mmm i like bichirs more than any other fish so id keep them but i do like rays too and lucky enough to have somewhere to keep em from my bichirs,could you not get another tank for the rays,also have you tried them together,i know most will say not but some people on here keep em together,i suppose its an expensive experiment if it goes wrong either way.

Best thing to do is to get another tank lol.

down side is i am moving into an apartment for a while and i wont have space for another tank...i am going to be cramped in a 700sq ft 2 bedroom apartment with my 180, 120, 2x 55 and my 20gal...not to mention my 2 doves, 2 cockatiel and 2 parakets...i'll barly have enough space for the flat panel tv and a sofa...i have ran the thought of ditching the sofa and going with camp folding chairs to have room for another tank passed my wife...she gave me the stink eye...

i have had my sens with retics before...good for about 5mins then the bichirs started biting and going for a ride to the other end of the tank...

LOL but there is ALWAYS more room! We live in a 1br apartment and have a 250gal, 2 150gals, a 55gal and 3 30gals. We had to do a little stacking of the small tanks but you can always make more room! I hate parting with fish but a change is always nice. I am just getting into rays and I am like obsessed now! Good luck with your decision but I say more tanks! :nilly:

you prob got an apartment with 700 sq ft for one bedroom...i got 2 bedrooms...this place should be priced as a studio...i'll see how i am doing for space once i get all the tanks in an everything else...oh ya all my saving for rays is gone now cause i just got a $500+ ticket...gotta love the female state troopers as they are the only ones i get trouble from:irked:
 
def get rid of the bichers and get a ray. what size tanks do you have? of the smaller rays i would go with a hystrix (think they look better) or if you have room go with a leo they are beautiful.
