Hey Everyone,

After getting married and moving into a new house I'm setting some of my tanks back up (since I have a decent size basement now)... I got rid of most of my old stock and am currently getting back into fishkeeping. I have something planned for my 180 but was looking for some suggestions for the 300 dimensions are 96x30x24...

Ideas so far... (not together of course)
Dovii Pair
Umbee Pair
Festae
Cubans

Also would like to add I've kept a number of CA/SA cichlids these are just a couple that I haven't had the pleasure of keeping yet

Would about a pair of ornatum?

Ornatum look very nice but I've only heard of one person spawning them so me personally wouldn't keep just a pair. A 300g is a nice size tank and a community is a good idea. There you could keep ornatum, festae, cubans, etc together. But the dovii or umbee won't tolerate many tankmates once they reach 12-15". If it were me, I'd go with a group of midas, festae pair, istlanum pair, Cuban pair and possibly some synspillums. If you like larger predatory then you could also get away with a male JAG too in the comm.
