What would you feed a huge alligator gar?

Not that i would ever get one, but if you had the space to house a fully grown alligator gar, what would you feed it? Obvioulsy feeder fish arent an option. Maybe a big slab of meat? thats all i can think of. Oh and for conversation sake that this gar is 8-10 ft. I dont know why it just randomly came into my mind.

I feed fish - herring, mackerel, salmon, trout, bonita, runner. Replicate the natural diet, same as keeping any other fish. Feed them out whole, fillets remove too much of the good nutritional value these guys need.
