I got an email today about a 200 gal tank, nothing else just the tank. It's been sitting so I would probably have to do the seams. The person made a comment that it's worth $2000 brand new....... (personally I can pick up a brand new 240 for a little over $600). Just curious what you think would be a decent offer.

I usually offer about a $1 a gallon. More if it includes a stand, filter, or other parts.
If they paid $2,000 for a 200 gallon then they got ripped off...or the trim is made out of solid gold.

Ah a man after my own heart LOL ... Thats what I do as well... unless it's a small tank (under 100 gallons) then I'll really try to low ball... Although my wife said I should just use all the glass from the tanks and build us an aquarium to live in LOL basslover...

$2k for just the tank? that guy is smoking something. Id offer anywhere from $200~300 depending on its condition
