What would you pay for a 10 inch loach?

I got a guy that has what he claims is a 10.5 inch CL he wants 200. Considering the fact that I have never even seen one that size I was thinking of taking him up on the offer. I'm sure if I gave him 180 he would bite. What do you guys think. Please don't tell me that its only worth what I think its worth. I'm trying to get you guys to help me silence my conscience and justify me spending the money on the thing. If I decide to go through with it I might have some 5 inchers for sale, pm me your price you might get lucky.

$200.00 may be high IMO so around $100.00... However, if you really like the fish and don't care for the value then get it.

I have seen 7to8" cl for sale for £90 and real 6"ones for £50 but i got a7" for £35 these are english pounds so i guess it doesnt sound too high but if he want rid of it offer less

Pretty rare to find them for sale at that size. I say the fish is worth $100 alone, but I think another $50 or so premium is fair. You're not likely to see too many more that size for sale & it would cost you a lot more than that to grow one that big... Why would you get rid of the 5-inchers? If its an issue of tank size, a 10" CL may not be a good idea.

Tank space is not the issue, I need to make some of the money back so that my wife doesn't kill me.

$150 is prob the most id pay, even then it seems like a lot for a loach. FWIW, a guy on my local CL was selling 4x loaches from 9-11.5" for $450

It would be hard to go over $50. Spent $30 for a 7" loach...and that was hard.

Was selling or is selling? Where are you located, cause I want some big loaches and I want them bad.
