found a local guy with a pair of jaguar cichlids. the male is around 8-9 inches and female at 5 inches. he has pictures of them with the eggs they were in a tank with other fish so they ate the eggs before any hatched. i have an open 120 i can put them in and was wondering what a fair price is on them
thanks in advance

WC jags typically 10 bucks an inch, tank bread less, for a proven pair I would not go more than 50 bucks, 40 better, if not proven WC.
on a side note you will find a 125g a tad to small, male will get at least 12 if not 16" , female 9"

Wouldn't pay more than 40$ for a breeding pair. I agree a breeding pair should be a good size and will outgrow the 120 in no time.

Depends on f they are tank breed or wild caught, if they are just your normal tank breed they are common enough, and not worth much. So as said $40- 50.

Also consider that since they are local you don't have to pay shipping, which could be more than the fish. Plus you know the source and can check them out. Convenience is worth something.

I wouldn't go more than $50....I have gotten a huge pair before for only $50 and seen many others around that range
