What would you put? Currently the only fish I have for the tank are 2 true percula clowns (all my damselfish were put in the sump). I also have xenia, 4 types of zoanthids, a pink photosynthetic gorgonian, a green leather, a blue ricordea, red mushrooms, pink and green hairy mushrooms, a blue porcelain crab, a cleaner shrimp, 75 blue leg hermits, 25 astraea snails (I sold off most of the adults and every baby I could find), and a blue linckia starfish. What would you add? I'm thinking anthias, tangs, a sleeper goby, a gramma, and a school of cardinals.

I would look into a jawfish or a goby/ pistol shrimp pair. Both would add some unique behavior to the tank.

I would also look into a reef safe wrasse (other then a six line). They are reasonably priced and can add a ton of color.

Six lines are awesome, good eaters of nasty critters you dont want in your reef.

That being said, they are nasty little SOB's and do not share well with gramma's. So...one or the other if you are considering that fish.

With your tank size, the door is pretty much wide open tang wise...if you have at least 6 feet of swimming length, and at least 2 feet of turnaround space. Somethings might get a little large, but for the most part you are good.

Consider a larger angelfish. They might nip at some of your softies, or even trim them, but in the long run that might actually be beneficial.

I am actually leaning away from the large angels as I would really love to have a lot of different zoas in the tank (the green and red palys are over 100 strong and still going). Tang wise I am thinking a group of yellows, or a yellow with a mimic and a hippo. I am trying to stay away from bad nippers as my eventual goal for the tank is some crocea clams and a RBTA for the clowns. I'm going to have to add more wrasses (probably fairy and leopard) because I just adored the trio of Lubbock's I had in the tank (which were wiped out by velvet). I wouldn't have even made it a reef except my bicolor angel, coral beauty angel, and pearlscale butterfly were all wiped out by the velvet as well (so was my 6 year old pj cardinal and my royal gramma).

As for shrimp gobies, I'd rather not, as I would like to add a diamond sleeper goby (Valenciennea puellaris) and between the goby and the leopard wrasse, I want there to be enough copepods to go around.

Mind you, I won't be adding animals any time soon. I just got an english bulldog puppy, and she is quite a handful! :nilly:

Yellow's and hippo's are both common suspects when clam attacks occur, just to warn you now.

Puppies are the best, every time I turn around man it seems like you have some sort of new pet thing going. I like it. :D

ya, yesterday was my mom and dad's 30th anniversary, so they decided to get an english bulldog puppy. I have to say that I am terrified of dogs, but she is the sweetest little puppy ever. However, even though I adore the puppy, she can never fill the soft spot in my heart that I have for my fish and reptiles... ;)

Ha ha...there is something about puppy breath though. Hard to beat the cuteness of a puppy.
