If someone had never kept pikes before, and they had these four species available to them, which of the four species would you recommend them start off with, and why?

I vote for Sveni, It was my first and was a great introduction to Creni, they stay relatively small, are good eaters, are active (with less aggression IME) and don't even look too shabby! They were also my first creni to spawn, what great parents they were to watch, like convicts with WAAAAY more power LOL

I went with bellycrawler. Stay small, are easy to keep and can hang with anybody. Lots of personality also.

Sveni

Common, cheap, eazy to care for, colorful, interactive, eazy to wean off live food and doesn't get very big

I would want a belly-crawler, but they are more atypical for pikes so went with sveni.
