hey guys. so im planning on restocking my 55g into some cichlids tank.
i know forrsure i want some yellow labs. is there anything else that goes well with them? im interested in a colorful tanks. its blue painted background.

filtration is a xp3/ac70/powerhead

i currently have blue gravel inside too but i want to switch to black. should I?

any suggestion welcome

Welll any of the blue zebras and mbunas that you come across at your local FS should do quit nicely with the yellow labs just keep around 12-15 just depends on maintence and water. But as far as color of rock thats up to you i would do black or black and white but thats me.

there are numerous mbuna that are very colorful! blue afras are really cool as well as red zebras and rusties once they become adults have a purple iridescence
