What's a fair price for a 10" lapradei?

The LFS I work at got in a 10" Polypterus lapradei, but the manager is convinced it's palmas...sigh.

I didn't snap a pic but I know it's a lap. It's a lower jaw bichir with faint, tan, horizontal stripes. Looks nothing like a palmas.

They want $60 for it. Is that a fair price? I'm not sure what they'd sell whatever they call a "lapradei" for.
 
Not really sure, really depends on the market over there. I can get a 10" here for about $30
 
I bought my Lap from a lfs at 9" for $40, but he tried to charge me $50.
 
In Ohio $60 for a 10" Lap is an awesome deal, if you can find one super rare. Its tough to get small Delhezi for that that price. I paid $55 for my 5" Ansorgii X endi a year ago, $65 for a 6" Palmas Polli. But those are Ohio prices don't know about Florida prices
 
Thanks! I really want it and it would be $45 for me with my discount, but I'm thinking it would be too cruel to put it in one of my 55 gallon tanks. Even if it's just for a year until I upgrade. It will have to be my pet in the store I guess. I hand feed it silversides whenever I'm around lol.
