I'm looking to buy a used one and I was just wondering what you would pay for a used acrylic 300g with built in overflow, stand and sump.

i would pay 1000

it depends on tons of factors

first the quality of the tank and the stand? How old are they?

second, LOCATION. in socal you can get tanks for dirt cheap due to supply and demand. In upstate NY where I live they are very hard to come by and people would literally ask 3x-4x as much as they would in many other parts of the country.

I'd pay $800-1000 if it's not all scratched up, no leaks, no water damage to the stand, and dependant on what hardware comes with it (heaters, pumps, filtration vary greatly in price/quality/durability).

That being said, after I really inspect 99% of the stands out there that are a couple years old, most are rotted junk. I'd just buy a tank and build my own stand if I were you. Second hand stands suck.

Oh ok. I'm in socal and looking for one in good condition without any big scratches. Lets say the tank and stand are in pretty good shape and it includes a 40g sump and pump. It's not a name brand maker or anything. What would you pay for a 300g like that?
