What's a fair price for a vieja?

Hey all! Just wondering what you think is a fair price to pay for a large 10 inch vieja synspilum or vieja melanurus? I have no idea how rare they are in the Canadian fish world. I've only seen a vieja agentea for sale in Vancouver.

I don't know how rare they are at the local fish stores but they are available on the internet. I think the melanurus is more rare than the synspilum. As for price it also depnds on the condition of the fish and the quailty of the breed. But for one that size I would say no more than 50-60 dollars.

I agree with that price, but that is US dollars, so it would obviously be more in Canadian currency.

Cool. Thanks. That gives my an idea on what I should pay. One was given to the fish shop and they didn't have a price for it yet but i got it on hold so iI have first crack at it if I want it which I do . I appreciate the info!
