What's a fair price for Festae?

A store near my house has 3" f1 juvies for $50. The owner also said he may be getting a couple adult pairs and would give me a 4-5" pair for $120. Does that sound fair?

If it doesn't, does anyone know where I can find festae in the Los Angeles area? If anyone has fry I'd love to buy some. I just can't order them offline because I can't guarantee I'd be home too accept the package.

Thanks in advance for any help! I'm just so sick of getting my hopes up and driving somewhere just to see a tank full of baby Mayans.

Sounds way over priced to me, but it's all in the eye of the beholder.....I will never understand why my wife buys a $200 purse that will house lipstick and hair brush, but its a bargin to her.
 
Lol, so I guess it just depends on how much I'm willing to shell out for a fish. If the store gets in the adult pairs, I'll get them.

Where is this store? It's a bit of a drive for me but if they still have them it's worth it.

im not sure that was the price but i think it was the store is ocean blue he is a member here u should ask him
 
it sounds high to me, but I've never shopped for a festae.

have you checked on-line pricing? maybe you could find a better deal, even after shipping

I just checked a place out west - - www.azgardens.com - - and they are selling 2" festaes for $9.49 and 3" for $18.08 . . . you're in so cal, and they are in Arizona; since they charge only the actual price for shipping, you might get a good deal

I have bought from them in the past w/ no problems . . .

I picked mine up for $6.99 at 2-3".

They're all over Aquabid right now (wilds even) for WAY cheaper than that (including shipping). That's an utter rip off.

grrrrrr. The San Fernando Valley sucks. All the good LFS seem to be in OC

I've checked aquabid and I'd love to order some wild ones from snookn21. My biggest fear is that no one will be home to sign for the package. I work mon-fri and I don't get home until 4:30pm. There won't be anyone to sign for the package and no signature=no fishies. :cry:

The juvies are out, too expensive. I'm still considering the adult pair because if I buy 5" festaes online the price + shipping equals about $120 or so.

Ideally I'd like to buy some fry from someone with a pair in LA. That way I could see what the parents looked like. So if anyone has a pair.... hint hint ;)
