If I were to sell my 5ft wide and 12ft long dinghy that is aluminium from 1983 and sea worthy. The Stern has been reinforced with stainless steel. the aluminium benches that were built in have had the original tops removed and replaced with stainless steel. Was rewired in 2009 along with the metal work on it, has new navigation lights and fixtures. Has an older model depth finder with monitor that works well, and also has a 1983 evenruder 2 cycle out board pull stroke motor that has all of its parts and components looked over and found to be in good working condition by a mechanic and bad parts replaced. Also has a 20lb anchor, boating rope, rope fenders, and has a awning installed on it that is in fair condition, and a new gas tank. Also has all of its paper work for my state and county. Also has its trailer that has also been repaired and is road and launching ready.

The boat itself says Valco.

Pics? What size engine?

Older aluminum boat with motors/equipment/trailer working, I would guesstimate around $1200-$1500 as fair. I looked around for one awhile ago and found them usually in the $1500-$2000 range.....for me $1200 would be very fair, and $1500 would be getting the value of the boat.

Thanks cookie.
The engine 15 horse power, no pics yet.

Also boats decrease in value as time goes by right?

They do decrease value with time and use, just like any vehicle.

I would ask $1400-1500 with a 15hp, I figured you had a 9hp. I also would not lower the price from that. If anything, if you post online, ask a few hundred more that what you are looking for and put 'negotiable' by the price. Best of luck with the sale.

If the boats in good condition at 12ft long with a 15hp motor I have seen them in the 1200-1500 dollar range. Depends also on the area, for instance boating is big around here so they are usually all over for sale which knocks down the price a little because of so many options. Try posting it on boattrader.com great way to sell your boat

depends where you are. i live near the california delta and i own about 14 ft valco with a 15 hp evinrude myself. around hear aluminum boats are everywhere you would get anywhere from $800 to $1000 for one on craigslist.
