Probably the Poly section
ok so i started a thread about how crazy i was to want a bichir to go in my ca cichlid tank, and was typing in that the lfs charged 40$ a pop:eek: for their bichirs and was wondering what is a good price for a bichir? i am looking at the delhezi, ornate, or grey:D. sorry i dunno scientific names:confused:

That's kind of a tricky question to answer. There are different factors, the price could depend on size, whether it's wc or cb, and how often polys are available in your area.

grey= Senegal.... senegals are the cheapest... petsmart is the best for 5 dollars. Ornates and dels are both a little hard to find... a lot depends on LFS... i got dels at one lfs for 30 each at 4" and seen same sized for 45 at 4-5".... and seen Endli for 50 3-6 inch...

Wish i could help..
But i have no idea how it cost in your country.
Its very much cheaper here in Malaysia.

ok well they are 3-5 inches and aare pretty common from what i can see (the dels) but the ornates seem kinda hard to find. i cant find the senegals at petsmart but found em for 12$

They are labeled "dinosaur bichir" at Petsmart. I bought one on Sat. P.S.......I live in AZ, not too far away from you. Mine was on sale for 3.99
