I have a 37 gallon tank that's running on HOB filter now. Naturally, the water splash is making quite a bit of noise as well as the motor itself. That aside, getting replacement pads can be quite some trouble as well.

So does anyone know of a good website to that sells these sponge filters? And I'd really appreciate it if anyone could tell me if I should go for it.

So umm, I'm a little new to sponge filters. Can anyone whiz me on some basic things I should know? I know they need a powerhead, but what about the air pump?

usually their air pump driven.

Oh hi man! I don't really get it... So they have both the power heads and the air pump? And are those sources reliable?

u typically use air pumps to drive air through an air line to power the sponge. not all power heads have the ability to do that.
