whats a good tank mate

i have about 5-6 inch silver arowana and im planning to get him a tank mate because he is so scared when ppl walk around him so im planning to buy a tank mate that eat like shrimp, blood worm because i dont want to buy diffrent food

A freshwater stingray would be perfect for him, maybe discus would work but if u get dicus keep the temperature to 82. I think catfish could work too.

i live in california i wish i could buy a stingray lol its illegal here discus is expensive here 40$ for a baby

??? I used to live in Cali until i moved and i found discus there, baby = 20 bucks??? Try going to asian's peoples store they have great deals. I found a shop in china town that sells there babys 20-30 not too much...

A snake head will destroy your aro... they are hell aggressive, even as a baby... and i believe snakeheads are illegal in california, not so sure.... stupid law on not allowing people to buy fish that has cartilage instead of bone.
