What's a good temperature for vieja synspilum ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Honestly, the cooler you can keep the water with them still acting normally, it would probably be for the better. They're much less aggressive when cooler (just like most species), and I find the colors tend to be a little more vivid as well. Higher temperatures are better for increasing the metabolism and consequently growing faster.... but it also has the side effect of raising aggression. I keep my Viejas at 82, and that's only because I have clown loaches and they pout if I lower it lol.
