whats all this about red eyes??

lol i heard red eyed are signs of fertile but i also heard some have red eyes but are still not fertile. but ehh an expert should know more :P and im waiting to see ur bonsai! :D
 
These are just inherited traits. All though the odds of a FH/Trimac/RD being fertile by birth are very much high if they have red colored eyes.

But most of the time the yellow/white eyed FH's are sterile. Rarely its the opposite.

Now the breeders add some chemicals to the FH with red eyes before shipping ( atleast most of em do) to make them sterile.

I have heard of the red eyes increasing the chance that they are fertile. But I have never heard about the chemical thing. I wouldn't think most do, maybe some. Do you think they would sell you a sterilized FH if it said proven female or male? Because usually if someone is looking for a proven male or female they are going to breed them.

so in theory my thai silk having red eyes, and more then likley being female, gives me a good sence of it being fertile??
