I have been looking at two different species of Knife fish. The first is a [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Gymnotus carapo Knife and the 2nd is a Elephant Knife (Sternarchorhynchus oxyrhynchus). Which one is better in your opinion. I would like to buy both of them, but because they are from two different places, I cannot. I might not buy any of them, but if I do, I would like some opinions first.

i prefer the look of the gymnotus carapo...angry face(like a black mamba),cool stripes..this fish looks like a fish you don't want to piss off.

Carapos as they are easy to feed even large peaces of shrimps as it will just trash it around till it can have a bite size. With the elephantnose, it might be messy and expensive as it will need a lot of blood worms.

So I stopped by my LFS today will no luck. They had Glass Knife Fish for sale, but when I got the chance to see one out from hiding, I realized that they were both E. humboldtii Knife's. So no luck. If I get the chance, seems how money is a bit low these days, I will purchase the Carapo. I'll keep you guys updated on what happens.
