Im stricken with chloramines straight outta the tap, i have been using NovAqua + and it seems to do the trick, someone once told me that AmQuel Dry + Buffers was the only way to go. Im really not wanting to "experiment" with my rays so im thinking i should stick to what has been working.

What do you guys think?

If i stick to NovAqua+ i need to buy it by the gallon, these 8oz bottle i have been buying are killing me.

;)

I don't use anything to treat my water. I just put water in 55gl drums and heat them to the temp of the tank, and have a power head in each drum. That is all I do.

Your lucky, from what i have read chloramines dont dissipate out of the water like chlorine does. If i dont treat my water stuff will die, that's how i lost my Zebra Pleco trio, i was sooooooo upset!

From what i have read, Chlorine reomover break down teh chlorine and ammonia bond from chloamines, basically getting rid of teh chloramines but leaving ammonia as a by product. Apparently AmQuel Dry + Buffers removes cholamines cleanly.
