I've got an EBJD that I got at about 2" last October. He/she is now about 4-1/2 to 5". Seems healthy and happy in the 135 gallon but has turned dark in the last month or so. Tankmates are Roseline sharks, cories, a leopard cteno, couple Raphael cats and a small sev. Tank harmony is great and I see no aggression in this tank. Below are pics progressing from the present back to when I first got him (sorry pics out of order). Has anyone else experienced something similar with their EBJD?

Celebrist is making quite and exaggeration! There are many that know much more than me. I have not seen this before, but my first guess would be that it looks stressed. What are you tank parameters and water change routines?

Probably sneezed in its general direction. They’re delicate. And I know next to nothing about them. Don’t mind the peanut gallery.

I would also suggest stress.

Though to be honest it doesn’t even look like the same fish.

Stress, dominance, breeding, natural color development, and darker tank decor could all explain. (I guess breeding is out if it is the only JD in the tank).
