i have a pair of motoro's and the male is about 13in the female about the same and about a couple weeks ago i noticed that he bit her around the tail disc area and well now he has stopped and the bites arn't there on the female(they healed). Im a ray novice so sorry if this question is very common but how can i make him stop biting her? should i feed them more or whats up?

whats the best food for rays? i feed mine massivore.

Thank you =]

Rays love 2 things food and sex

The food you are giving the rays is great he now wants the sex

Not much you can do ones he starts wanting the sex he will want it all the time so expect the bites to get worse

I see lol, Is the female denying him or something? I have noticed his claspers are much larger than last year cause you can see them without having him go up the glass.

yes if rays are well fed the one thing they will think of is sex if they are mature, the male could be mature and maybe the female isnt yet, its hard to tell when a female is mature bc they dont have a good indicator like the big claspers.. but from the size u say i would bet she will be rdy soon, so id get rdy and start doing some research on here on pup care

Most of the time once he gets her, he will stop. Until she gives birth ..... then the process starts all over again

Lol that was supposed to be my sn ^^^^just realized my buddy left his on here. But keep us posted on the female. Take pictures of her now and then in about 40-50 days later to see how big she gets.
