Just for the last 2 days my pirahna have been really skittish like they will not come out unless my room is completely lightless. I always leave there tanks lights off, i did a huge water change like half an hour ago, and tested water params are all perfect. But when i turn my room lights on they freak out and run for cover. I even took the light out that was closest to their tank so its alot darker in my room with the light on, so any help would be great. Thank you:confused:

How long have you had them for? Most RBP's are usually skiddish like that until they reach thier full adult stage. Most P's don't like the light, but it doesn't mean that they can't get used to it.

Hmm, these are the same piranhas that were very bold at first?
If so, i am guessing over-exposure to light. All animals have their limit to how much light they can take, and i recon they reached their limit. I have seen it with a rhom, lights were on 12 hours a day, and it eventually cracked. Hide all day until lights out, but before he was fine.
Only explanation I can think of…

these fish dont get any tank light the only light they see is from the room lights i even took one of the lights out to make the room darker so i guess the room light is to much but i dont know thanks for the suggestions though

dimmed the lights try sitting infront of your tank so your Ps can get use to seeing you and know that your harmless
