OK, so I have 3 3 month old female convicts and 2 5 month old male convicts in a 20 gallon tank. I just added the 3 females 3 days ago. It already looks like a male and female paired up as the male lets the female share the cave. Do you think they will breed with other convicts in the tank? Also, if they do breed, I don't have a separate tank for the fry. What do you think will happen to the fry? Will most of them make it?

They will most likley breed. Those thing take nothing to lay eggs. A few days after they hatch you should take out the famale cause she will kill then and the male might kill her. The male will take care of the fry.
give them max. 1 week they ll breed .... and yes they ll breed in any tank and ll defense the eggs
mine breed in oscar tank and u can't imagine how any oscar fish was there ....
27 size 4 inch and another convict pair and i got the fry up after and they are cool now
