just as my male dovii began to show some color, it began to lighten and fade. hes about 4.5 inches. is this normal for his size or what going on?

theres a 9 inch male jag. theyve been together for about 2 months. hes growing incredibly fast. when he gains more size will his confidence grow as well?
Oh for sure stressed. He lookes washed out, when they fade like that and stay that colour something is wrong. What are your water parameters? Ammonia/nitrite/nitrate/ph
