stupied question: is it harder to take care of a baby retic or one thats lived for a couple months? ive had 4 rays (all retics), 2 died and they were couple weeks old when i got them, and the 3rd one had sudden death, now i only have one which is my first one, bout 5" (dw)

(just so i dont kill the population...ive tooken off from the rays for a bit)

any ray is difficult if theyre not eating IMO...even harder to take care of when theyre babies due to not having any meat on their body...a hardy ray can last longer than a newborn with no food

small retics that are eating are hardy rays....KISS is best way to care for rays... everything nice and simple... good foods and pristine water = happy healthy rays...

The retics are inherently hard because they are cheap, thus not treated very well with collection, transport, wholesale, retail even... it makes it hard. I would find a store or vendor that you trust, ask them to get you one and hold it till it eats/acclimates. Any reputable store will do this for you.

never actually thought of that one, most people say look for the ones that eat thnx

Retics are hardy...if you have killed all yours, there's a good chance that something is wrong...Were they eating ? what were they eating ?

Ray that eat are hardy..period.
