Whats in Your FX5?

Just curious about what everyone uses in their fx5's and maybe a list of things not to use.

Ill go first

Mechanical
Run of the mill blue/white prefilter
Fine particle pads
Filter Floss
Chemical
Carbon, Nitrazorb
Bio
Bio balls
Ceramic Media

DO NOTS
Fluval FX5 Polishing pads (Clog after a few days)

I second what you said about the polishing pad...Mine clogged in less then 3 days and my flow was reduced like crazy!

I am gunna be gettin one for my 500 gallon to run along with my DIY wet/dry so this will prove very helpful in choosing what type of media i put in.
O and i'm not trying to jack this thread but how do u guys like them???

If i were running an fx5 along side a sump, i would use the fx5 100% as a mechanical filter and flow.

I run Eheim EhfiMech in all 3 baskets, and use an Eheim Pro 3E 2078 fro Bio with Ehfi Substrat Pro.
