I've got a Jardini who's about 12-13" long. Eats well, splashes me when I feed LOL. Anyway, my schedule has gone haywire and he's starting to be neglected a bit, so I was thinking of putting him up for sale. Whichleads to the question....what's he worth?

I want to put him up for sale at a fair price and make sure he gets a good home. Let me know.

usually with jars, since they are aggressive the bigger the cheaper. you could probably get $50-$60....
it doesn't work like that
i think somewhere around 120-150$

sure does around here, there is no demand for a large adult aro (silvers but especially jars since they are so agressive) you could get that for a lei or a silver but not a Jar. you might even be pushing it with the silver as my LFS has a 24 inch silver for $125.
When I was trying to get rid of my 18nch Jar here on MFK I couldnt get an offer. I started at $150 obo went almost 3 weeks with a few bumps but no real offers.
I was in my LFS buying some prime and there was a guy looking at a 6inch jar for $60, i told him I would sell him mine for $75, so he bought it from me.
But IMHO there is no way that its worth $150-$200.:screwy:

rkc772 (infinite aquatics) has 12inch blacks and 7inch leis for $150, you think that a large jar adult is worth more then a juve lei or a black??? I dont thinks so, nevermind I KNOW its not. around here you can get a 6-8 inch jar for $40-$60 !

Looks to be a definite price difference between large Jars in India and Maryland. Here in Colorado I've seen large Jars go for as little as $75 on craigslist and for as much as 300 bucks at LFS.

You best bet would be to post it on craigslist with no price, this ways you can find someone who is really willing to care for it properly. Not just some kid who thinks its cool and throws it in a 55g tank. Once you find a responsable person I'm sure you could negotiate a price that would be fair to both.
