So I may be picking up one of my bosses old tanks he is tearing down and want your guys opinion. Its dimensions are 72"x24"x30" which comes out to 225 gallons. The tank is drilled in both sides with the square overflow boxes. Sump is a 75g full of bio balls. Has two pumps in it (not sure what size), heater, Undergravel filter with powerheads running them (I will take out the UG filter and use the powerheads, Nice oak cabinet stand, tons of gravel (Which I will be switching out). He said he would sell it to me for $900. Is that a good deal? I may be trading in a tank or two on top of that, I want to try and get it to about $700. Hes also allowing me to do payments which is awesome. So whats your guys opinion?
 
$900 seems fairly reasonable with all that's included.

How old is the tank? Is it in good shape

Not sure how old the tank is. He only had it set up for a couple of months. Its in good shape as far as i can tell

I would offer 700 pretty easily. I usually don't expect to pay more than 2x tank size unless it comes with extras. The way I see it is 450 for the glass, 150 for the stand if your being terribly generous and 100 for the convenience. Your in a somewhat secluded area so you could probably rest without too much difficulty at 3x tank size, which would be 675. It depends on how badly you want/need a big tank in my eyes.
