dont believe this is an african cichlid-almost 100 percent positive its not. you may have better luck posting it in the SA/CA section?

im almost positive its some kind of perch.

i've seen these guys many times i just cant remember the name but,it is not African C. like she mentioned, just call the guy you bought it from,,good luck

The separation of the top dorsal fins makes it a some kind of Perch.
Post this in the freshwater fish section of this forum.

thanks for all the reply and sorry for the confusion, I've just found the information of on the fish, I'm sure its an African leaf fish, and based on what I've read, it doesnt moves that much and can reach only up to 10 cm in size. Considered to be a predator, feed on live foods. I put the fish together with my bichirs, hope they get along well

hes a cute little guy! glad you found the name of him-let us know how he does with the others!

The bichirs are usually more active when it comes to hunting and looking for food so this guy may not get his share,he may even get eaten.

hmmm too bad, the little guy is not welcomed in the house, couple times being a target practice by my ornates:irked:, so now I move the guy into a smaller tank on its own:headbang2
