You know...there are those girls who are all "oooooh horses!" and talk about them and ride them and sometimes have their own horses and just think horses are the greatest things on earth. And then there are movies and books and all kinds of nonsensicle stuff like that dedicated to horses and the weird, shady subculture associated with horses.
Well, in my experience, horses are big, smelly, somewhat unpredictable, and more dangerous than many less-romanticized animals, for instance, the snakes that people tell me I'm crazy for keeping. So I don't really understand what's so romantic about a couple on a horse riding off into the middle of a grassy field somewhere. Because who wants to have sex when you both smell like a sweaty horse?
I mean I don't hate them, but really, what's the big deal?
