Hi i want some pretty shoaling fish to go with my Rotkeils and Red Head Tapajos.

I currently have 14 Rotkeil Fry and 6 Tapajo Fry in a 100g and growing them out, when they are a bit bigger i wanted some kind of small Amazonian shoaling fish to busy up the tank.

I don't want to keep barbs or anything from anywhere else but the Amazon basins, would preferably like to keep it as Biotypey as possible.

I want something bright coloured and that stands out from a distance.

This is the tetras that i have tried and don't really want again.

Serpaes, Black Widows, Colombians, Roseys, Bentosis.

I want something that is around max size of 3", so no Silver Dollars etc, i want to keep the bioload quite low.

I was hoping to get a final tank looking like this...

2-4 Rotkeil Severums
3-5 Red Head Geos
6-8 bright coloured Shoaling tetras

Any suggestions?

I really can't think of anythign else, i have been tempted by Rubys, Tigers and Odessa barbs but I think they will be a bit to 'in your face' for my little Rotkeils.

Thats why i wanted soemthign more peaceful liek Amazonian tetras, plus they fit in to the bioptype better.

What type of Tetras are Rotkeils found with in the wild? I heard that Lemons are native for the Tapajos.

Not the most colorful tetra but they work Congo Tetra's would fit into this category
