I've been running my good ol' Chemilizer for the past 6+ years. The annual cleanings and recent couple of years' replacements of tension bands have kept it running reliably.
I think it might be wearing out now, and I have no hard feelings. I got my money's worth out of it.
Time to replace - what's the top device these days to either condition tap water or to inject a conditioner into the water line like the Chemilizer does.
My flow rate is about 5-10 gph.
