[#4] Eheim 2026 Canister F.
..........[filters up to 100 gallons]

let me know what you guys think.:D
:headbang2 thanks

I'd say the Eheim pro 2. They don't clog, and they are powerful enough to even run a co2 reactor on the return. Also if you are comparing the xp3 to an eheim it should be compared to a 2028, not the 2026.

xp3 imo

have used eheim without problems, but i guess if i havent tried them all, its hard to say...

IMO, none of them. You should use a Penguin BIO-Wheel 350. I have a 170 on a 20 gallon goldfish tank and I love it!

I wouldn't do the bio-wheel, although great HOB filters, they can't keep up long term with the canisters. They make great additions to, but not in lieu of.

Another option for a cheap canister that is pretty good, just has no replacement parts is the catalina aquariums 1000. they are $60 off the website. http://www.catalinaaquarium.com/ They are basically built the same as eheims, but the long term quality is not as good. THe pumps I have heard are really good though.

Go Eheim, they last the longest and clean very good...

COMBO punch....xP3 and AC101...

Howdy,

Eheim - no doubt.

If you ever have such a question again, I suggest you use the poll option MFK offers ... makes it easier :-)
